The year 2003 saw the birth of KK Malaysian Cuisine, a family-owned business that strives to serve the best of Malaysian food to Aucklanders and beyond.
Owner K.K. Ong is passionate about what she does and specialises in Baba Nyonya cuisine – a combination of Malay and Chinese cuisines which has its roots in the historic port of Malacca in Malaysia. A native of Malacca, K.K. executes these dishes and many other signature Malaysian dishes with care, abiding by high culinary standards.
We don’t have the fanciest interiors in town but we set the bar high and consistently serve great food which keeps customers coming back for more. Now, after 8 years in Auckland, we are just beginning to reinvent ourselves.
Like most restaurants, we have had our share of good and bad reviews- noise and the quality of service are common complaints – but we realise this will have to change.
And so here we are, prioritising customer service and feedback to make up for lost time – it’s not too late, we hope. We would like to thank every single one of our customers who has patiently supported us over the years; your help is greatly appreciated.
We hope to establish ourselves as the leading Malaysian name in Auckland’s vibrant food scene and will continue to improve our services so that all may gain a deeper appreciation of Malaysian cuisine.
